Writing to IraqSlogger from Baghdad at 230am Iraq time today, Iraqi Red Crescent President Dr. Said Hakki provided this blunt assessment of the intense clashes in recent days, the inability of the Red Crescent to reach those suffering in the conflict areas, and who's to blame:
"The situation in Iraq is bleak.

Curfew for Baghdad and almost all Iraqi southern governorates. This was announced few hours ago.
