Baghdad, June 28, (VOI)- At least 25 persons were killed and 40 others were injured on Thursday morning when a car bomb went off in al-Bayaa neighborhood in southern Baghdad, police sources said.

"The blast occurred at a bus station in the Sunni al-Bayaa neighborhood in southern Baghdad," the sources told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).

The sources said that the death toll is likely to rise due to the severity of the explosion.
