1-23 Stryker Team Treat Victims of Fierce Fighting in Baghdad Neighborhood

U.S. Army medic, from 1-23 Stryker battallion, treats one of the wounded neighborhood men taken to the al-Fardos mosque in Amiriya in Baghdad during clashes Thursday between a neighborhood group and al-Qaeda fighters.

Jane Arraf is embedded with the 1-23 Stryker battalion and is in Amiriya. She was there during the heavy fighting Thursday between local militias and what are assumed to be al-Qaeda elements. Her report is currently embargoed by the U.S. military due to embedding rules but she was allowed to send out some initial photos of the casualties being treated.
